Certified Professional Yacht Broker Program Over 400 Members

The Certified Professional Yacht Broker Program (CPYB) gained membership of over 400 yacht brokers in North America. The CPYB designation recognizes professional, experience, training and mastery of core areas of expertise related to professional yacht broker skills and knowledge. In addition to practical experience, CPYB brokers must comply with the CPYB Code of Ethics and must pass a rigorous three hour written examination.

Developed and managed by the Yacht Brokers Association of America (YBAA) in partnership with the Florida Yacht Brokers Association (FYBA), The Northwest Yacht Brokers Association (NYBA), the California Yacht Brokers Association (CYBA) and the Ontario Yacht Brokers Association (OYBA), the program is based on a defined yacht broker “Body of Knowledge” identifying the skills and competencies required to be a professional yacht broker.

In just 5 short years the CPYB program has grown from the first 16 brokers in 2002, to the 412 brokers who have committed to the program today. Throughout the years, the CPYB program has evolved from a small group of industry leaders who recognized that performance standards and professional training are the essential tools for the professionalism of the industry, to the 412 North American yacht brokers who are committed to providing the best possible service to their customers.
